Stop Loss Concepts, Inc. (SLC), was established to provide Employer Groups, Claims Administrators, Agents, Consultants and Brokers with responsive, single source access to quality Excess Medical (Stop Loss)/Group Insurance products. As a Managing General Underwriter (MGU), SLC represents only the most competitive, reliable, and financially stable markets available to meet your needs. In January 2007, Stop Loss Concepts became an employee owned company with the formation of an ESOP Trust.

An Overview

As mentioned, SLC is a Managing General Underwriter (MGU) for Excess Medical coverage, also known as "Stop Loss Insurance", for self-funded employee benefit plans. SLC has agreements with several carriers giving authority to write business "on their paper". This means SLC determines risk, issues policies, collects premium, and processes the payment of claims on behalf of these companies.
